Many communities in Jalisco, Mexico, lack reliable access to clean water. The Gente Buena Foundation partners with the University of Gaudalajara and Pronatura, Mexico’s largest conservation nonprofit, to provide comprehensive water security solutions where they’re needed most.
Nature-Based Solutions for San Pedro de Los Landeros
In one such case, Pronatura and the Gente Buena Foundation developed a long-term strategy for water security and watershed health in the small tequila-producing town of San Pedro de Los Landeros (SPL). The water equity & access program in SPL paves the way for sustainable water management across agave-producing regions.
